Gameplay and graphics programmer with strong skills in C++ and C#. I have 5+ years of experience writing game and graphics related software and developed my own basic game engine in C++. Also, I have a very good knowledge of working in Unreal Engine 4 and shipped an indie game with it.
My name is Kevin Heer and I am currently a computer science student at the Karlsruhe University of Applied Science in Germany. I am also a software developer with special dedication to games, graphics programming and game engine architecture.
When writing code I aim for clean and easy understandable code in order to maximize maintainability and improve the workflow inside a team. But I also like to keep an eye on performance which in my opinion is equally important for realtime graphics applications.
In the last several years I have worked on multiple projects and graphics demos that are shown on my website. I also wrote a simple, modular and modern 3d game engine, which taught me many things about game engine architecture and problems faced during development. Besides working on games, game engines and graphics demos I also like learning new technologies and multimedia applications (everything ranging from 3d modelling to film editing and photo manipulation).
